ProWellness Provides Telecare Systems for the Managing of Chronic Conditions in England - PRESS RELEASE August 7, 2006

After a national tender process, the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (NHS PASA) has launched a new four year national framework agreement for telecare products and services. ProWellness specialises in IT solutions for the management of chronic diseases and it is one of the fifteen companies that were granted the contract.

ProWellness participated in the tender process with its SelfCare product. The ProWellness SelfCare is a modern, web-based system which enables the patient to learn more about his condition, cooperate more efficiently with the care team and take control of the disease.

The patient can send blood glucose, blood pressure and weight measurements easily and reliably to a personal SelfCare online account by using the ProWellness modem, the ProWellness mobile solution or Internet. The care team can then monitor the patient’s condition and give feedback by SelfCare Web mail, SMS or telephone.

The system can be used as a stand alone module or as a fully integrated part of the ProWellness Chronic Diseases management system. ProWellness is a leading provider of IT solutions for managing diabetes in Nordic countries and England.
